New NICE Guidance Chimes with DWT

The Dental Wellness Trust believes strongly in education being an important tool for change. We give children the tools and knowledge to form habits that will stick with them for years.

In the UK, tooth decay is still a big problem amongst kids. The level of decay is the 7th highest in Europe, and more than one in three 10 -year olds in England suffer from tooth decay.

To try to combat this, the National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence (NICE) have released new guidance saying that nurseries and schools should consider introducing supervised tooth-brushing and fluoride varnishing programmes.

The DWT welcomes this news.
